Hi,
I have Windows XP SP2 (OEM, fresh reinstall about month ago, CZ localized)
Office 2003 Basic (OEM, CZ localized)
When I press mail icon in word (to send doc by mail) I'm getting error: "Word could not load the e-mail
envelope. This could be caused by a network connection problem or a problem with your Office
installation.".
(Actually, the error is in czech language: "V aplikaci word nelze na?íst obálku e-mailu.
P?í?inou m?že být problém se sí?ovým p?ipojením nebo s instalací sady Office.")
I have tried office repair without success, then remove and fresh install, but nothing helped. I have
even tried two different installation media to ensure that my original CD is ok. I don't have any addons,
VB scripts, or anything like that, what I found in MS KB829061 and workaround described there does
not work too.
I tried to switch in internet explorer settings another default email program - outlook express. With OE
everything works fine. When I set default email application to Outlook, it fails again.
I should note, that when I right click the file - Send To - Mail Recipient, it works perfectly with outlook,
so it is some weird alternative to KB829061. I tried to google and found that I'm not alone with the
same error and no solution. Best woud be if I could use thunderbird, but I'm syncing appointments and
contacts between outlook and PDA, so I have to use outlook (or is there any stable freeware
alternative?) :-(
Please help. Thank you!
