I have three files (documents).

1. has 138,827 words and size is 912k
2 has 140,917 words and size is 924k
3. has 141,103 words and size is 2.5MB

I don't understand why the huge discrepancy between files 1 & 2 and 3.

Word documents are not just text, so word count and file size are
largely unrelated. m.

Hi Rafael,

Assuming the documents are similar in terms of percentage of text vs.
graphics, tables, etc., then it's possible the third document is carrying a
lot of invisible "stuff" in the last paragraph mark. Try this: Make a
backup of the document for safekeeping. Now copy all of the document
*except* the last paragraph mark and paste into a blank new document.
What's the file size now?

If they are similar in composition, the other possibility is that the larger
file has embedded graphics while the smaller ones had linked graphics.
