Word count for document list

Tim Dees

Is there a way to list (and, ideally, print) a list of documents in a
folder and have the word count for each document appear next to the
file name? I am trying to get the word count for a group of files
without having to open each file individually.

Hi Tim,

See the article "How can I get access to the Document Properties of a Word
file without opening the document?" at:

Also see the article "Insert into a document the names of all files in a
selected folder" at:

http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/MacrosVBA/InsertFileNames.htm

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps

I downloaded the files that you listed, and will give them a try. Thanks much.
