Word Count when saving large documents

On some large documents, but not all, there is a verrrry long delay when
saving the document as it repeatedly recalculates the number of words in the
document. Is there a way to turn off the Word Count function in such
documents?? Thanks.

Hi Cyndie,

Getting the word count is almost instantaneous - and doesn't rely on the save process for an update. If you're working over a
network, the *network* may be the cause of the poor performance.
