Word crashes after using "save as"

hey, in word 2002, when i open it for the first time of
the day, if i try and save something using the save as
function, word crashes and closes. this only happens the
first time it is opened. after that all is fine. it's
weird as it has just started happening now and i haven't
changed anything that would obstruct word at all. any help
is welcome. thx
