I have Office XP installed my my PC with an Windows XP OS. I never had
problems with Word until I downloaded Office 2000, and now Office XP
is having the same issue even though it happens much less often.
When creating a new document in Word, it will give me an error message
when I attempt to save the doc stating that the doc couldn't be found.
I re-save the doc to the appropriate folder, and everything appears to
be fine.
Then a few moments later, most of the data dissapears and becomes
these strange symbols (most of them look like little boxes). Even if I
close the doc without saving that data, and reopen the doc, those
symbols are still there and all of that data is lost.
It seems to happen mostly when I'm scrolling through the document.
I've tried several troubleshooting techniques to solve this issue,
including rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling both Windows XP and
Office XP several times, and even getting a new PC.
Does anyone know why this is happening, and what I can do to fix it?
Thanks for any help in advance.
