Word crashes opening Form on Sharepoint

Does anyone know a fix for this. Word crashes only when ALL of these
conditions are true and in this order:

1) You have a Word document open
2) then you go to SharePoint and try to open a MS Word form that:
a) has "text form fields" in it
b) is locked (protected)
c) is in a document library
3) Word crashes

* It doesn't happen if you put a direct link (to the form in the document
library) in a Content Editor
* or if you open the form then open another Word document
* or if the form is not locked, etc.

???

We are having the very same trouble. Can someone from Microsoft acknowledge

This is a bug that has been resolved in SharePoint 2007.
