word crashes (template-mysql-autotext)

Hi

I have word97 running on windows 2000 updated to service pack 4

I created a template that has a couple of macros. They insert stuff in
the header and the footer, Also there is a macro that inserts autotext
which in turn is comprised of a database query to a mysql database.

The query works fine. In fact the whole template is excellent.

However when one uses the template word crashes. I get an application
error and word "is no more", "pushing up daisies" to quote a famous
Monty Python scene.

I have no clue as to how I should find where my error is. The template
was created using word97which is why I find it strange that it crashes.
Word does not crash when using other templates so it seems to be
related to the template.

Thankful for any and all help here! I can send furhter info upon
request.

I have done a complkete reinstall of my system and word still crashes
on me. It seems as if the crashes occur less frequently if I save
another document using another template.

The query I use is as follows

{DATABASE \l "7" \b "30" \c "DSN=Database" \s "SELECT Tabel1.Field1,
Table1.Field2, Table2.Field1 FROM Table1, Table2 WHERE Table2.Field1 =
{FILLIN "Write no"} AND Table1.Field1 = Table2.Field2" \*MERGEFORMAT}

The query gets my results as it's supposed to. No problem there except
that word97 crashes. When I try office2003 it works but I can't stop
office 2003 from asking me to enter a dsn source.

Does anyone have an idea as to why Word97 dies on me?
