Word crashes when I cut-and-paste

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Hey,
Whenever I use command-x to cut and paste, Word 2004 constantly crashes. Anybody have the same problem? Any fixes?

Are OS X & Office fully updated (10.4.11 & 11.5.1 respectively)? Have you
repaired permissions since applying any updates?
