Word crashes when I open it!!!

Whenever I open Word and try to type something, it just
crashes and stops responding. And, whenever I reopen it,
it does the same thing: it crashes. It has started doing
this just this week. I don't know if my computer has a
virus or what. Can someone please help me? I have big
projects coming up and I need Word.

Do you know of a program or something that I can use to
fix this problem? The web site you gave me is very

No, there is no substitute for working your way through the troubleshooting
steps. Try printing out the article so that you can follow it more easily.
