word crashes when I try to print

I am using office xp. Same occurs with notepad, but printing is OK from web
pages etc. so drivers/printer are OK. Any suggestions? Thankyou

If the error occurs when you print the first item to rule out is a
corrupt or incorrect printer driver. Then only way to rule out the
printer driver as the cause, even if you can print from other
applications, is to obtain an updated driver from the manufacturer's
web site and see if that resolves it .

Thanks. I did do this, I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it and that
took care of it.
