Got me an issue that I cannot resolve. If anyone has a clue please
respond in this thread.
Got a Windows 2003-server running Terminal Services and has Office
2000 SP1a (amongst other things) installed.
Now the problem occurs in Word.
When trying to create a new document by clicking File, New, the
program crashes.
When using the new document-icon in the taskbar it runs ok.
I've come so far that the problem only occurs when the location of the
workgroup-templates is a path to a mapped drive.
The F-drive is mapped to the location "\\server\data\work" which
refers to the physical location "d:\datausers\documentfolders\work\".
This mapping is made so the users do not have to browse too much. When
the physical location is set as the path to the workgroup-templates
there is no problem.
I made this change and all works fine now but I would really like to
know why this error occurs when referring to a mapped drive and all
works well when I refer to the physical-location.
