Word Crashes

MS Word crashes when I flip through multiple windows of
Word, and for some reason, the ~.tmp files that are
created aren't recycled or deleted when word docuemnt is closed. I have
tried reinstalling the software but Word continues to crash. Please Help!

I'm running Windows XP Home and Office 2003 and both my office products and
operating system are up to date. I'm also running Norton System Works and the
word plug-in is
not selected.

Please let me know if there is anything that I can do.
