Word Crashes

Hallo,

under Word 2000 SR1 I get the following error
message: "WINWORD.EXE Application Error. The instruction
at 0x30553700 referenced memory at 0x0a777062. The memory
could not be read". Click [OK] to terminate or [cancel] to
debug.

The error message appears in various situations (writing,
inserting a table of contents, shortly after opening an
existing document)

Background:
All documents are on the network. It's the english version
of Office 2000 and Windows 2000. A change of system (NT4 -
W2k SP3) and Office (97 -> 2000) has been done.
The PC has been set up completly new.

The documents are including graphics, word tables etc. but
no embedded excel-sheet.

Regard
Carsten

In the german newsgroup I also opened this issue and I got
a reply. The solution may is that the normal.dot is
corrupt and has to be deleted. When Word starts it will
create a new one.
