Hi,
Word 2004 11.1 (part of Office) recently developed a strange problem running
on 10.3.9, 1.2 Ghz G4, 960 Mb RAM.
It launches fine, it opens an existing document fine
However, as soon as I start to edit this document, it gives my a beach ball
(activity monitor reports that Word uses very large % of CPU) and it
freezes.
I did Save As on the document (has only 2 pages in it).
Repaired permissions
Trashed all Word preferences under user account
And no luck.
What gives!!!
Any ideas besides re installing the Word?
I am also using Endnote v8 with a link to the document that is crashing
Word. Can it be related?
PS, just tested in creating a new document, inserting links from Endnote and
save. Re open edit, save etc (several times). All appears to be OK.
But it still will crash on the particular document!
Cheers
