Word creation dates/times

I have a word 2000 doc. I am looking at the creation times in the properties
box. In the General tab the Created time is shown as 13:47:27, yet in the
Statistics tab the Created time is shown as 11:57:00. Can anyone explain the
difference please?

Thanks,
Chris

Check to see if your computer is set up on a 24hr or 12hr time configuration
via- Control Panel/Regional and Language Options/Customize/Time

thanks for the reply. The computer was set to 24 hr. The times are 1hr
50mins different, so I'm not sure how that would help though.

The creation time in the Statisitics tab is a Word property and is when you
first created the document in Word.

The creation time in the General tab is a Windows property and is when you
first saved the document.

In this case it looks like you spent two hours editing the document before
saving it - generally not a good idea (although I do it myself, too often!)

ther0054 and Tony,
thankyou very much both of you, I understand the difference now.
