Word Currpted files

I used to work on wrod file saved always on Flash Memory Stick
After 3 months work, I try to open the file, the file is full of single
sympol!

I have tried to get the file back, none-of the word recovery options worked.

I use this option because I move everyhwere and I wiork on more than 3
computers without network connections.

Any ideas,

It is a tough lesson. NEVER use Word to work directly with any form of
Removable memory. Always COPY to and from the local HDD first.
