I was working on a large document and had saved it. Then after working on it
a little more, I tried saving it again, and Word told me it couldn't save it
and basically closed down. The weird thing is, it deleted the file from my
drive altogether, even the previously saved version! I do know there is a
hidden temp file there, because when I try to copy that folder to a backup,
it tries to copy the temp file, but says access to the destination is denied.
However, Word does not recover this file when I start up. Is there any way
for me to open and save this temp file? And why in the world would Word
erase a saved version of the file from the drive???
Thanks!
