word dies without warning & normal.dot not created

Hy,

i have this really weird problem. When word starts the memory usage for
the winword.exe process climbs abruptly and it quickly reaches 200 MB
and then the process disapears without an error.

I've started to try different things, and if I delete normal.dot or the
Data folder in the registry, these are not recreated.

This happens on just one profile on the machine, on any other profile
(either allready present, or newly created) word works without any
problem.

I can't find any similar problem on the web ... so i thought to ask
here .
