word.doc / adobe photoshop

importing word.doc file to adobe photoshop , is it possible ?
I saved it as ( save as word doc ) but somehow was not able
to open it in photoshop ( also tried to drag & dropp ) .

any info appreciated ,

Photoshop is a graphics program, and Word handles text files, so I'm not
surprised Photoshop can't open a Word file. Why would you want it to? I
can't imagine Photoshop being very useful in editing your text file.

If you are in OS X (always post version numbers!) you could save the Word
file as a pdf and probably open that in Photoshop.
