Word Doc as Data Entry Form

Don't know if this is the right forum for this or not, but here's my
question:

PDF allows this: You can create an "interactive" PDF that will accept data
entry and then cause the entered data to be posted to a given URL.

Is anything like this possible using Word and the Office Developer tools?
If so, any examples?

Thanks,
