word doc opening off the screen

Hi
I just upgraded to Leopard, and now when I open an existing word or
excel doc, the top of the file is always up underneath the toolbars
where I can't click on it. Some of my text near the top of the docs is
also obscured. Any ideas as to how to fix this?
Thanks!

Hi,

this problem is not related to the Leopard upgrade; your toolbars have
accidentally become undocked, so the document window does not take them into
consideration when it tries to position itself on the screen. On the left
side of the toolbar(s), there's a solid grey area just below the dot which
allows you to close the toolbar. Grab that handle, then move it around until
it snaps back into place below the menu bar, and your documents should show
up properly.

Another technique, which works under Windows as well, is to go to the
"Window" menu and select "Arrange All" That will move the document
windows and resize as necessary to fit the screen.

Yes, but if the toolbars are undocked, the windows will still move behind
them.
