Word .docs in Internet Explorer Favorites

In Internet Explorer Favorites, in addition to the web sites I return to
often, I find the following:

~$ followed by a file name ending in .doc
~WRL followed by four digits ending with .tmp

There are a number of these. I can delete them one at a time, but is there a
faster way of doing it?

Thanks

Instead deleting them within from Internet Explorer try deleting them by
moving into the Favorite Folder. To do this, :

1. Click Start Menu
2. Right-click on Favorites
3. Click Open
4. Here select the files you want to delete (for non-continous selection use
CTRL key, while clicking on file)
5. Click Delete

Furthermore, if Favorite menu is not appearing in Start Menu then you can
enable it through Taskbar Properties. To do this:

1. Right Click on Taskbar - choose Properties
2. Click Start Menu - Customize - Advanced
3. Check Favorite Menu
