Word docs in read only folder

I have some word documents that I want to put in a read only folder. I have
one question though - when you open a word doc it always creates a file in
the same folder called ~something.doc. What are the implications of making
the folder read only as word won't be able to create this file when a
document is opened?

Hi Ric,

Since you haven't had a response yet, by this reply, I am cross-posting this
in the setup.networking newsgroup. You are more likely to find experience
with limited folder rights there than in one devoted to visual basic for
applications.
