Word Document Corrupted

I have a Word 2000 document that I update daily
throughout the week. I create a new one each week. For
about 2 months now, about half way through the week, the
beginning of the document becomes corrupt. It displays
some sort of symbols and adds a page break in between
every line. I have done a complete re-install of
Microsoft Office, but it still does the same thing. Any
ideas?

Matt,

Your new documents could also be affected by a corrupt
normal.dot file (template).
