word document distribution from excel database

Hi all,
Im currently looking for a macro that will allow me to send an email to customers as a reminder its been six/12 months since their last service. I want the email to automatically ping out to contacts listed in an excel spreadsheet governed by the date of their last service (Dear sir/madam this is a reminder that your last service was 6months ago etc) which I will manually update. I can probably figure the strings for names out using bookmarks? and would also like the email to be sent through my business email address which I guess I would do through Outlook or windows Live depending on the operating system I use.
I have spent hours searching for this and I have a basic understanding of VBA but nothing advanced. Anybody able to help will be a superstar in my eyes :):):)
