Word document locked

I have a word document that is on a floppy disk, but when opened it either
says its "locked to be edited by another user" or it crashes and doesnt give
me the chance to try and unlock the sheet. I also cant transfer the document
to the hard drive for the same reason. Other documents on the floppy disk are
fine and can be accessed.

Please help.

Do not save/open documents directly to/from a floppy.
Save to your HD and copy it to the disk and vv (copy it your HD and open
it from there).
Chances are that you've corrupted the disk.

Along with Rob's warning about editing documents directly off a
floppy, you may be able to retrieve your document. Check the floppy
for hidden files that look like ~$FileName.doc and delete those you
find. Then try copying the document to your local drive and open it
from there.
