word document problem

Hi
I have a problem with my office 97. When i open a new word document the blank document shows but then imedeatly a winword error message "winword exicuted an invalid instruction in module mssp232.dll at 017f505bld28" when i close this i loose my blank document. I am on windows 98.

Cliff;
Can't offer any "Fix" but perhaps a hint - the dll is for the "Spell
Checker".
Try turning off the automatic spell checking and see if that corrects
the problem.
Try "Googling" with the module's name.
