Hi,
I have a user who wants to save a password protected
template as a regular *.doc file for editing. They are
opening the template, clicking "read only" when
the "recommend read only" dialogue box pops up and then
saving the template via "save as" and selecting *.doc as
the file type as well as removing "recommend read only"
and the password in the general options of the save as
window. When they open the saved document, the read only
dialog box still opens up but they can select cancel and
then edit the document and save it etc. Why is the read
only recommended box still popping up even though it is
not selected in the document properties and the password
has been removed? It is not read only because they can
edit and save the new document but the read only box pops
up non the less asking for a password. Selecting cancel
gets him by the dialog box and he can edit and save as
normal after that.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt Bruce
