Word Documents and saving to OneNote

Is it possible to begin creating a document in Word, then save it
directly into OneNote? Currently I create the document, save it to a
folder, and then insert the file into the section of OneNote that I
want it in. This seesm like double the work.

Sorry, no, there is no way to save a Word document directly in ON (other
than printing it to ON which would produce an image).
