When saving a document located on the server from one of
the clients an error message pops up telling the user that
there is something wrong with the disk where he or she is
trying to save the document. At the same time the network
connection is getting the red X on it as if it wasnt
accesible, which it is, when accesing it from explorer.
Thats when the real problem reveals itself, the document
you were trying to save is now gone. Its not on the server
or anywhere to be found on the local machine.
The event log shows nothing that can help me with this
problem, both server and client log is checked for the
specific time when it occours. The disk on the server
looks fine. Other shares on the same disk doesnt seem to
be affected.
This problem has occured 7 - 8 times in a couple of weeks
and my custommers are not to happy with it.
They are running a SBS2000 server, Windows 2000
professional desktops and Office2000.
Uppdated antivirus software is running on all the
computers in the network.
Hope that someone out there has seen or experinced this
and can give me some tips on how to fix it.
Thanks in advance.
