Word documents icon changed

All my Word documents have another icon instead of the Word icon. How do I
change them back to the Word icon? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

You can go to Windows Explorer > Tools > File Settings > Types of
files, type 'doc' and from there you can change the icon associated
with that type of file. The path to winword.exe generally is Program
files/Microsoft Office/Office.

Re-register Word by typing Winword /r in the Windows start > run box.

Thanks to those who responded. When I booted up this AM the Word icon was
ok. Must have done something yesterday to change the icon just for that
day. Again, Thanks.

You should never post a question about any problem if you haven't restarted
Windows first! Rebooting solves a multitude of transient problems.
