Word documents in Restricted Mode

Can anyone help. My nephew has attempted to load an
unregistered version of Windows XP on a machine running
Windows 2000. Now, all word documents are in restricted
mode. Word won't allow any editing, saving, or
creating of new documents. What can be done to remove
this restricted mode?

The only way to get rid of this restricted mode is to activate your copy of
Word with a valid product key.
