Word Documents Vanish

Any have experience with saving a Word document to a
writeable CD, then have it vanish? I saved several
documents, even reopened them. Then after ejecting the CD
properly, they were gone when I put the CD in again.
Other documents were still there.

I wouldn't save documents directly from Word to any removable medium. Save
locally and then copy to CD, floppy etc.

I don't know the technicalities, but for what it's worth, I have had many
problems such as this in the past and have found that if I don't save
directly to the CD but, rather, save to the HD and then copy it to the CD it
works fine.
This goes for floppies (if anyone still uses them!) as well.
