I have new Dell PC running XP Professional that I have installed Office 2003
on and all the updates. I can open Word, but the document area is grayed
out. If I click on an existing Word document it does not open, it does
nothing, not even an error. This also happens when trying to open a Word
document attached to an Outlook email. I have done the Detect and Repair and
also have deleted the normal.dot file and restarted. Still Word documents
will not open. Excel, PowerPoint documents open correctly. Any ideas?
