here are some steps where in you can try to resolve your
issue.
Steps to Start Word in Safe Mode
==========================
1. Close all the applications.
2. Click on Start->Run.
3. Type in Winword.exe /a (there is a space
before /a) and click on OK.
4. This opens Word in Safe Mode, where if you are
asked to enter the initials, enter the details.
Steps to Rename Normal.dot
==========================
1. Close all the applications.
2. Click on Start->Run.
3. Type in %appdata% and click OK.
4. Double-click on the folder named Microsoft, Double-
click on the folder named Templates.
5. Right-click on the file named Normal.dot and then
click on Rename.
6. Rename Normal.dot to Oldnormal.dot.
7. Close the Templates folder.
(OR)search for normal.dot file and rename it to old
normal.dot.
if still gives you the exact problem
Close all the applications.
If you have any Norton Antivirus or any other
Antivirus installed on the
computer, I would like you to disable it.
