I have a particular document that i created using microsoft word for mac. but eveytime i open it using a pc with window xp i can not read it. all i get are characters. how can i fix this.

Chances are the PC is missing a few updates. Amongst them are some that
enable it to open the new Word file format .docx.

But it may also be a problem with your email system. Make sure you are
sending it in MIME format with the correct file extension.
