Word doesn't allow me to cut and paste

When trying to paste an e-mail message into a word
document, the following error keeps coming, not sllowing me
to paste "This document could not be registered. It will
not be possible to create links from other documents to
this document" I cannot even cut or paste between existing
Word documents. I downloaded 09regfix, which worked for
about 5 minutes, but still have the same problem
