word doesnt start properly

Whenever I try to startup Microsoft Word (2002) a small
bar on the side comes up saying document recovery. About
2 seconds after that a small popup comes up saying word
has encountered a problem and needs to close and to send
an error report. There is also a little box that
says 'recover my work and restart Microsoft Word' if I
tick that the same thing happens again. If I don't tick
it and try to restart manualy the same thing happens. I
have uninstalled and reinstalled it but is doesn't work.
Can someone who knows what to do please help.
