Word dont appear in the recommended programs list

Hi, Im runnin Office Professional 2003 on Windows Vista Home Basic Edition.
Now the .doc files are associated with WordPad. I tried to associate it with
Word via right click over the file-properties-this file open
with-change...and then when i double click on the Word executable it doesnot
appear in the recommended programs. Similar way when I go to Control panel-
associate files type with programs and I double click on .doc ,and then I
select doublecicking the Word executable it doesnot appear in the programs
list, so I only can open the .doc files from the Word-open menu. Some idea?

From Start | Run, type in

winword /r

and press enter. Word should now be reregistered correctly in Windows again.
Let us know if that doesn't fix it.
