Word dropdown menus - Remove custom items

When certain software is installed, customised entries are sometimes added
to Word's dropdown menus.
When uninstalling the software, sometimes these entries do not get removed.
Does anyone know how to remove them manually.

Right-click on the toolbars and select customize. Drag the menu items into
the document and release them (they'll disappear).

IMO, it's very rude (and displays incompetence on the part of the
programmers) for an application's uninstall routine not to remove any
add-ins it may have placed in the Word or Office Startup folder.
