Word error 1919

When I try to install Word 2000 below is the error message
Error 1919 configuring ODBC data source:MS Access Database ODBC error 6 Component not found in the registry. Verify that the file MS Access Database exists and you can access it
The choices are "cancel" "retry" or "ignore"

This seems to me a very odd message to be getting while installing WORD. If this is
during installation (setup) of Word/Office, go to the office.setup newsgroup.
