word error message

Hi All,

When ever I load the word document I get the following message: Connecting
to printer. Press ESC to cancel. That appears in the area of the customized
status bar at the bottom. Obiously it slows down the process of the page
loading.

How can I fix the above problem?

Thanks,

Joe

Hi Joe,

I'm not sure what your question is in this case. If you're asking does MS Office 2007 work on 64 bit Windows systems, then for the
most part, yes.

If you're asking is there a 64 bit Office 2007 edition, then no.

The above is office 2007 and installed on Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bits >>

Are you using a network printer? If so and the printer driver is also on the
network then it may take a bit for Word to find it. Word uses the printer
driver to determine pagination, available fonts, etc. The solution is to
install the printer driver locally instead of using it off the network. For
this, remove the printer and then add it back using the Add Printer Wizard.
