We get the following error message while attempting to
open a Word document (only on some computers in our
environment):
"The document 'name of doc' caused a serious error the
last time it was opened. You may continue opening it or
perform data recovery by clicking 'Recover Data'.
Clicking 'Recover Data' will extract text out of your
document but all formatting and pictures will be lost."
3 buttons are offered to click: Open, Recover Data, and
Cancel.
This document can be opened on some computers with no
error message.
Can someone offer any suggestions for what could be
causing this behavior?
