I keep getting error message:
WINWORD.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart.

Additionally, since I use Word as my e-mail editor, I
cannot open E-Mails: I get the message:

Cannot open this item. Microsoft Word could not be
started. Try one of the following:
CLose any dialogue boxes in wordk
Make sure Word is correctly installed
Close other programs and try again.

A dialogue box may be open in another program etc..

Greetings Joseph,

You are obviously new at computing, so I'll try to be
gentle. You are using Outlook, a product from MicroSoft
and trying to use it with Word, a product from
MicroSoft. As most casual users, computer professionals
and MS support folks will tell you, this generally
doesn't work. You are just as likely to get 2 products
from 2 independant 3 man development shops to work
together, with about the same level of support you are
now getting for your Big Name products.

After a 30 minute conversation, paid for incident call,
with a support pro from MS, on my last call, I posed the
same sort of dilema that you have, trying to use 2 MS
products that indicate they 'integrate'. Finally he
confided in me, after I stated my desire to use the 2
products together, and that I thought they should work.
He said, and I quote "I am laughing, I'm not supposed to
be laughing, but I am laughing". End result, problem
never resolved, I just donated $125 to the Bill and
Melissa Gates Charatible Ferrari Gasoline Fund.

Good Luck, just get Linux for free, you will be rewarded
for the time you spend by actually getting apps that
work, or at least get fixed. In the long run, much more
productive ... the majority of all internet servers that
have to run all the time and can't afford to say "Not
Responding" ... run Linux.
