Word error with VBA

I get this error when I boot up Word then don't get any
menus. Why??

Microsoft Visual Basic

Run time error '-2147024809 (80070057)'

Can't move focus to control because it is invisible, not
enabled or of the type that does not accept focus.

Please help as my word is now useless.

Thanks Doug,

I went through all the suggestions and still no luck. I
then deleated office, reinstalled from my origional disk,
upgraded to SP1a then upgraded to SP3. Word now is
working fine. Thanks for your suggestions, they helped a
lot.
