word error

When I go unto word....this pops up " Changes have been
made that affect the global template, normal, do you want
to save those changes? " I went to Options /save tab "
and I uncheck the "prompt to save normal template". after
I do this word wont open at all... any body know whats
rhis about?

Never uncheck the 'Prompt to save changes to normal.dot'. It is rather akin
to removing the batteries from your smoke detector!
