word error

i bought this come puter from circuit city and it was the
display model. when i got home to use it, i tried to open
microsoft word. word would not open and it is now telling
me i need a serial number or something to that extent.
how can i get a serial number or how can i resolve this
issue?

You should have been furnished the CDs for all installed software. If you
were not, go back to Circuit City and demand them. The CD key will be on the
CD package or the Certificate of Authenticity accompanying it.
