I get an error message when attempting to open an Excel file, that my virus
protector is not allowing me to open the file. I have McAfee and they say
this is not their problem. Anyone else have this problem?

Doesn't mcafee's AV software have an option on what you can do when the AV
software claims there is a virus?
They should offer the option to open the file, if you so choose.
If not, get some other AV software.

Are you sure that your "Virus Protector" is not telling you the truth?
What exactly is the message?
