Word/Excel Will Not Launch

Intermittently, Word and Excel 97 will not open (after double-clicking
the Word or Excel icon, I will see an hourglass two to three times and
then nothing). All my other software programs (QuickBooks, AutoCAD,
Norton Internet Security, etc.) work correctly. The only way to get it
to work is to restart my computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled
Office 97 and Norton Internet Security 2006 but neither has helped.
There are 6 other computers in my office, with Office 97, Norton
Internet Security 2006, etc., and they work correctly. The other
computer do run Windows XP. Anyone heard of this before.
